VERNA SUGG IVEY

LAGRANGE -- Verna Bell Sugg Ivey, 86, of 3774 Kennedy Home Road, died Wednesday at Britthaven of Goldsboro. Mrs. Ivey was born in Greene County to the late Albert Thomas Sugg and Lydia Gray Sugg. She was wife of the late Lelland Ivey and was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Ivey Cauley and son-in-law, Christopher R. Cauley Jr. Mrs. Ivey was a member of Hickory Grove United Methodist Church and was an avid gardener.
Graveside services will be held Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at 11 a.m. from Pinelawn Memorial Park, with the Rev. Adam Brinkley officiating.
Mrs. Ivey is survived by two grandsons, Christopher R. Cauley III and wife, Nikki, of Goldsboro, Ivey P. Cauley of LaGrange; daughter-in-law, Roxie Cauley of LaGrange; sister, Audrey Herring of LaGrange; and brother, Albert T. Sugg Jr. of LaGrange.
The family will receive friends at the home of Roxie Cauley, 3896 Kennedy Home Road, LaGrange. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Hickory Grove United Methodist Church, c/o Stanley Sutton, 1832 Sutton Shortcut Road, LaGrange, N.C. 28551. Arrangements are with Rouse Funeral Home, LaGrange.
