MARLYS MAE LEDVINA SMOTHERS

Marlys Mae Ledvina Smothers, 61, 107 Sedgefield Drive, died Wednesday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Marlys was born in Anamosa, Iowa, to the late Elward Ledvina and Doris Barnhart Ledvina. For 23 years, Marlys had worked with Kmart and most recently as assistant manager. She was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church.
Marlys is survived by her husband, Thomas Smothers; her sons, Todd James "T.J." Smothers and wife, Amy, of Goldsboro, Troy Michael Smothers and wife, LaDelle, of Goldsboro; her brothers, Larry Ledvina of Iowa, Lonnie Ledvina of Iowa; five grandchildren, Tiffanie Gay and husband, Robert, Lowell Smothers, Zachary Smothers, Landon Smothers, Alyssa Smothers; and a great-grandchild, Hanna Gay.
Memorial services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Norris, O.S.F.S. presiding. The family will receive friends Sunday following the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
