GRACE J. SMITH

Grace Jeanette Smith, 83, died Thursday morning at the Sterling House.
Grace was born in Wayne County to the late John Dewey Jeannette and Elsie Mozingo Jeannette. She was married to the late Lyman Harvey Smith. Grace was a retired postal clerk with the U.S. Postal Service in Dudley. She was a member of Dudley Christian Church.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Blane Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Grace is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Deedie Weddings and Robert of Selma, Carolyn Kirkland and Claude of Goldsboro; three grandchildren, David Bethea, Martha P. Gurley and husband, Brent, Lyman Thomas Pate; five great-grandchildren, Jennifer Bethea, Jessica, Tyler and Rebecca Pate, Katie Beth Gurley. She is also survived by her sister, Margie Hinnant and husband, Ralph, of Goldsboro; her brother-in-law, Aaron Smith and wife, Sally, of Dudley; her sisters-in-law, Lois Jeannette and Katie Thompson, both of Goldsboro; and a special friend, Bearnice Ulmer of Dudley.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
