RAY BULLARD

Aug. 3, 1953-Feb. 1, 2008

Edward Ray Bullard, 54, went to his heavenly home on Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Ray was born in Robeson County on Aug. 3, 1953, to the late J.B. Bullard and Ruby Carroll Bullard. He was the owner and operator of Hometown Productions in Goldsboro. Ray had a great love for Southern gospel music and worked very hard to promote it here in Goldsboro and around the United States. He had a long-time association with the gospel quartet group, The Anchormen. For those who knew Ray, he will be remembered as a generous, caring, compassionate man and loyal friend to so many. Ray had a tireless commitment to help people and even at his death he was able to help others through the gift of organ and tissue donation. He will be missed by many.

A funeral to celebrate the life of Ray will be held Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at 7 p.m. at the Goldsboro Worship Center in Goldsboro. The Revs. J. Wesley Jarman and Danny Johnson will officiate. Interment will be Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville.

Ray is survived by his brothers, James "Jim" Bullard of Parkton and William Earl Bullard and wife, Linda, of Northport, Ala.; his sisters, Jeanette Aldridge, Peggie Fisher and Frances Duvall, all of Parkton; his aunt, Mildred Shelton of Fayetteville; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his business partners, Glenn H. Carter, James T. Bullins and James Terry Carter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Alton Bullard and Daniel Howard Bullard.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made in Ray's memory to the Anchormen Memorial Fund, c/o The Little Bank, 201 N. Center St., Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends Tuesday following the service at the church and other times at his home.

Online condolences may be sent to the Bullard family at www.seymourfuneralhome.com.
