MILDRED VINSON

Mildred Wiley Vinson, 86, died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Elma Turnage Wiley. Mrs. Vinson was the oldest living member of Black Jack Free Will Baptist Church and had worked as a cashier for the Brookside Open Air Market.
Funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Black Jack Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Jason Sherman officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Vinson is survived by her husband, Russell Vinson; sons, Bill Vinson and wife, Penny, Gene Vinson and wife, Pat, Russell Vinson Jr. and wife, Sharon, and Danny Vinson and wife, Debbie, all of Goldsboro; 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a special friend, Judy Kennedy.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vinson was preceded in death by her sisters, Mozelle Edmundson and Gladys Williams, and her granddaughter, Beth-Ellen Vinson.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
