JAMES CORDELL WILLIAMS

Mr. James Cordell Williams, lovingly known by his family and friends as "Cordell", 62, of 468 O'Berry Road, Dudley, died on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Cordell was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Priscella Owens Williams; and a son, Larry Darden.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, at the Goshen Disciples of Christ Church, 7120 Suttontown Road, Faison, with Dr. David N. Atkinson officiating. Public viewing will be held on Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 South James St., Goldsboro, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. A wake will be conducted from 5 to 6 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., with the family present to receive friends and other family members. Interment will follow the funeral on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, at the Williams' Cemetery, 468 O'Berry Road, Dudley.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Williams, and one daughter, Katie Darden, both of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and LaSandra Williams of Goldsboro; two sisters, Annie Darden and Linda Morrison, both of Dudley; two brothers, Albert Jr. and Samuel Williams, both of Dudley; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
At other times, the family will be receiving friends and other family members at 468 O'Berry Road, Dudley.
