IRENE H. BARROW

Irene Ham Barrow, 87, of 1923 N. Berkley Blvd, passed away Wednesday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital. A native of Greene County, she was born the daughter of the late Lehman and Carrie Ann Grant Ham. Mrs. Barrow was a member of Jerusalem United Methodist Church.
A service celebrating her life will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service in Snow Hill with the Rev. Al Sullivan and the Rev. T.C. West officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the Snow Hill Cemetery.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barrow was preceded in death by her husbands, Benjamin Franklin Carraway and Willard G. Barrow; and a brother, Vernon Ham.
Her surviving family includes her children, Janice Carraway Ham and husband, Howard, of LaGrange, Robert Carraway and wife, Mary, of Goldsboro, James Carraway and wife, Brenda, of Pensacola, Fla., and Willard A. Barrow of Goldsboro; a sister, Shirley H. Beaman and husband, Paul, of Snow Hill; grandchildren, Jay Ham and wife, Ann, of LaGrange, Terry Kornegay and husband, Jay, of Dudley, Stefanie Cox and husband, John, of Goldsboro, Mike Carraway and wife, Kathryn, of Destin, Fla., Dottie Pomeroy and husband, Rob, of Brentwood, Tenn., T.J. Barrow and Samantha Barrow, both of Goldsboro; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Jerusalem UMC, c/o Larry Stroud, 3640 Highway 13 South, Snow Hill, N.C. 28580.
