John Edward Bauhofer, 80, of 305 Walnut Creek Drive, died Sunday at his home.
Mr. Bauhofer was born in Louisville, Ky., to the late John Rudolph Bauhofer and Antoinette Peveler Bauhofer. He was a retired tobacconist with Gallagher Ltd. Mr. Bauhofer was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Dr. Homer Morris officiating.
Mr. Bauhofer is survived by his wife, Sue Waller Bauhofer; his daughters, Sherry Davidson and husband, Gene, of Rome, Ga., Susan Battle and husband, Randy, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Anneliese Maddox and husband, Steve, of Atlanta, Ga., and Jenne' Hibbs and husband, Gary, of Sparta, N.J.; his sister, Mary Lou Gower of Springfield, Tenn.; 12 precious grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church Mission Board, 204 E. Chestnut St., Goldsboro, N.C. 27520 or charity of your choice.
The family will receive friends Wednesday following the service at St. Paul United Methodist Church.
