ERNEST RICHARDSON
Ernest Richardson was born on Oct. 26, 1936, in Goldsboro, N.C. to the late Anna Lee and James E. Richardson Sr. On the afternoon of Nov. 26, 2007, that battle was over and the victory was won. The angel of mercy gently and quietly took Ernest home.
His patriotism and love of country led him to join the U.S. Army and he served honorably.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at 1 p.m. from the Saint James A.M.E. Zion Church, 206 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C. with the Rev. Dr. Dwight B. Cannon officiating. Also, a viewing will be held, Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., from 1 to 7 p.m. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, Goldsboro, N.C.
He leaves to cherish his memories three sisters, Etta R. Munford and husband, Fred, of Suitland, Md., Vivian R. Smith and Ethel Richardson, both of Goldsboro, N.C.; two brothers, James E. Richardson Jr. and wife, Valter, of Baltimore, Md., John E. Richardson and wife, Laverne, of Goldsboro, N.C.; 11 nephews and six nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.
