DENNIS L. CRACKNELL

Dennis Lee Allen Cracknell, 62, of 107 North Pointe Drive, passed away on Thursday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.
Dennis was born in Niagara Falls, N.Y., to the late George Cracknell and Helen Engeholm. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 30 years and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant. After retirement from the military, Dennis served as the computer lab coordinator for Wayne Community College. He was a member of the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Chiefs Group.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Un Yong Cracknell; his daughter, Kimberly Cracknell of San Diego, Calif.; his sons, Allen Cracknell and wife, Kelli, of Virginia Beach, Va., Lee Cracknell and wife, Ana, of Stafford, Va.; and his grandchildren, Nathaniel Cracknell, Gabriel Cracknell and Ariel Rose Cracknell. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Mary Butler and husband, Al, of Reynoldsville, Pa., George Cracknell and wife, Bonnie, of Winsted, Conn., Stuart Cracknell and wife, Linda, of Niagara Falls, N.Y., Martin Stevens and wife, Lyda, of Birmingham, Ala., Ray Cracknell and wife, Adele, of Niagara Falls, N.Y., Deb Cracknell of Niagara Falls, N.Y., Esther Engeholm of Reno, Nev., Fred "Ferdinand" Engeholm of Oliversburg, Pa., John "Jack" Engeholm and wife, Jane, of Richfield, Minn., Marie Smulowitz of Portland, Tenn., Grace Ann E. Miller of Punxy, Pa., and Ron Engeholm and wife, Janet, of Punxy, Pa.
