Evangelist Gladys Mae Croston, 77, was the fourth of seven children born to the late Fabbie and Marvin Lewis of Wayne County, N.C. She answered a final call from the Master on Oct. 1, 2007, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at 11 a.m. from Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, with Elder Dr. Howard E. McNair, pastor of the New Stoney Hill United Holy Church of Goldsboro, presiding. Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 5, 2007 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel. A viewing will be conducted, Saturday morning, Oct. 6, 2007, at Hamilton Funeral Chapel from 10 to 11 a.m.
She leaves to cherish her memory three children, Paul Bowden Jr., Alicia M. Croston and Audrey M. Croston; one grandchild, Sean A. Petrillo; her sister, Lucille Jones and husband, Henry; her brother, John Lewis; her sister-in-law, Marie Lewis; her aunt, Bessie Smith; four nieces, seven nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
