DUDLEY -- Randy Dee Barnett, 41, of 5721 U.S. Highway 117 Alt., died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Born in Wayne County, he was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Platt Barnett. He was a 1984 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and was employed with C&M Plumbing.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive.
Randy is survived by his father and stepmother, John and Sally Barnett of Dudley; two sons, Joshua Paul Barnett and John Ethan Barnett, both of Pikeville; one brother, Kirk Barnett and wife, Connie, of Dudley; three sisters, Dottie Snyder and husband, Gary, of Summerville, S.C., Darnell Potter and husband, Keith, of Mount Olive, Sandy Knowles and husband, Curt, of Fayetteville, N.C.; two stepsisters, Lori W. Ammons of Seven Springs, Kelly W. Bradley of Deep Run; several nieces and nephews; the love of his life, Suzanne; and special friends, Dale and Betsy.
Family members will greet friends Tuesday night from 6 until 8 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times at the home of his father, 601 Eagles Nest Road, Dudley, N.C.
