Genevieve "Jenny" Sanders McSherry died peacefully on Monday at her home.
Jenny was born in Fairfield, Pa. to the late Marion Sanders and Alice Richardson Sanders. She was married to the late John E. McSherry. Jenny was retired civil service having worked as the secretary for the base commander at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. She was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church. Jenny was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and Laureate XI Sororities. For over 25 years, she was a sales representative for Avon, having distinguished herself as outstanding in sales.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Littlestown, Pa. Burial will follow in Saint Aloysius Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna McSherry Phipps of Goldsboro; her grandchildren, Joell Fitzmorris and husband, Shawn, of Pikeville and Paula White and husband, Jimmy, of Goldsboro; and her great-grandchildren, Niki Fitzmorris, A.J. Fitzmorris and Lauren White.
The family will receive friends in Goldsboro at Seymour Funeral Home on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and in Littlestown, Pa., at Littles Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 8 p.m.
