RALEIGH -- Katie Lee Hall, 91, died on Wednesday. Born to the late Archie and Lula Lee, Katie lived most of her life in the Goldsboro area. Katie was retired from Cherry Hospital in Goldsboro, where she worked for many years as a seamstress. She resided for seven years at The Pines Assisted Living Center in Goldsboro and shared her last year in the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Raleigh.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
She is survived by her daughters, Florence Perkins and husband, Bob, of Goldsboro, Christine Deans of Wilmington, Bonnie Neal and husband, Shelton, of Goldsboro and Kaye Wilson and husband, Lynn, of Archdale; sons, Auburn Hall and wife, Connie, of Raleigh and Steve Hall and wife, Julie, of Goldsboro; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Lois L. Lee of Selma and Lida Belle Futrell of Pikeville.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph A. Hall Sr.; her sister, Bertha Talton; and her brothers, Herman Lee, Elton Lee and Arnold Lee.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Wake Medical Center, especially the nursing staff of 3B, for their compassionate care of Katie and of her family.
