ALLAN W. UTTERBACK
Allan Wayne Utterback, age 68, of Rollins Road, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2007, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mr. Utterback was born in Tuscola, Ill., on October 31,1938, to the late Harold Utterback and Mildred Mouser Utterback. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from Coca-Cola Company Consolidated with more than 20 years of service.
He is survived by one stepson, Peter Heker, and his wife, Margrit, of Germany; one stepdaughter, Cornelia Faulk of Goldsboro; one granddaughter, Tina Tyrell, and her special friend, Aaron Fitch of Wilmington; one brother, Bob Utterback and his wife, Barbara, of Tuscola, Ill.; three sisters, Margaret Myers and her husband, Buck, of Tuscola, IlI., Evelyn Story and her husband, Jesse, of Virginia and Inez Martin and her husband, Marvin, of Kansas City, Mo.; and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Utterback was preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine Utterback, and one brother, Dean Utterback.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
Although flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C. 27834 or make a donation for a new animal shelter, P.O. Box 227, Goldsboro, N.C. 27533 in memory of Mr. Allan Utterback.
