ABBIE W. SNEAD
Abbie Jean Williford Snead, age 72, formerly of Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Graveside services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Selah Christian Church Cemetery. The Rev. Dennis Pollock will officiate.
Mrs. Snead was born in Johnston County on May 13, 1935, to the late Richard Bowden "Pete" Williford and Ida Elizabeth Myers Williford.
She is survived by one son, Charles Snowden of Virginia; one daughter, Karen Woodard and her husband, Mike, of Goldsboro; three brothers, Caggie Williford and his wife, Lola, of Princeton, Bruce Williford and his wife, Ruth, of Four Oaks and Clarence Williford of Florida; four sisters, Doris Ayscue of Florida, Margie Barden of Goldsboro, Barbara Fletcher of Princeton and Myrna Jivatode of Virginia; five grandchildren; and two-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Snead was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Snead; two brothers, Johnny and Leamon Williford; and two sisters, Esther Capps and Hallie Martin.
The family will receive friends follow the graveside service on Friday.
