JOHN F. THIGPEN
DUDLEY -- John Franklin Thigpen, 73, died Sunday, June 24, 2007 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. John was born on Dec. 9, 1933 to the late William and Bertha Quinn Thigpen. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Deans Family Cemetery on Tommy's Road. Rev. Rose Hicks will officiate.
He is survived by two sons, Gary Franklin Thigpen and his wife, Darlene, and Michael Thigpen; five brothers, Kenneth, Virgil, Bobby, Glenn, and David Thigpen; three sisters, Lou Ann Brown, Martha Blizzard and Susan Oneil; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery and other times at the home of Gary and Darlene Thigpen, 125 Deans Lane, Goldsboro.
