COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Service for Alma A. Westbrook, 89, formerly of Goldsboro, will be held Friday at 12 noon at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, Columbia with burial in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens in Columbia.
Mrs. Westbrook, wife of the late Almond Allen Westbrook, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007. Born in Goldsboro, she was the daughter of the late Henry Holland and Bessie Lee Williford. She enjoyed yodeling, singing and fishing.
A loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed life to the fullest, Mrs. Westbrook is survived by sons, Charlie Westbrook and his wife, Mary, of Gaston and Bill Westbrook of Goldsboro; daughter and caregiver, Helen Westbrook of Goldsboro; special friend, Tina Best; 17 grandchildren; 41great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by children and their spouses, Louise and Gerald Watts, Hubert and Doris Westbrook, Steve and Diane Westbrook; and two great-grandchildren.
