NEWTON GROVE -- Dixon Best, 76, 420 McLamb Road, died Saturday.
Funeral service will be today at 3 p.m. at Newton Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Sandy officiating. Entombment will be at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Elnora D. Best; daughter and son-in-law, Ranae and Andy Lee of Four Oaks; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Paul Best of Newton Grove; grandchildren, Sharon Lee, Sarah, Lela and Isaac Best; sister, Susie Peterson of Cary; brothers, William B. Best of Raleigh and Troy Best of Morehead.
The family received friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Newton Grove Baptist Church or Advantage Hospice of Sampson County.
