Died April 15, 2007
Elizabeth Dowd Jones, 700 N. Taylor St., died Sunday in Greenville. She was a native of Duplin County and preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Altman Hodges Dowd and a grandson, Terrell Jones. Mrs. Jones was a former employee of Barry's of Goldsboro and Belk Department Store.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. at Gospel Light Church with Bishop Carlton Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Jones and Brenda Winley of Goldsboro; Gwendolyn Winley of Greenville; sons, Dock Brewington of Philadelphia, Pa., and Travis Jones of Goldsboro; sister, Dorothy Battle of Goldsboro; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be today from 2 to 7 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m. to receive friends at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries.
