ROSE HILL -- The Rev. Eddie Earl Simmons, 56, of the Delway Community, died Monday at Sampson Regional Medical Center, Clinton.
Funeral services will be at the Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel, Rose Hill, Sunday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Alberta Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at Allen Chapel Community Cemetery, Rose Hill.
He is survived by his wife, Ruthel M. Simmons of Rose Hill; daughters, April Williams and Jessica Simmons, both of Fayetteville, Ingra Best of Clayton, Yolonda Newton of Raleigh and Ynette Keith of Rose Hill; brothers, David K. Simmons of Clinton, Anthony, Alphonzo and Laverne Simmons, all of Goldsboro; sisters, Alma Simmons of Richmond, Va., Evon Coley of Goldsboro, Wanda Locke of Hampton, Ga., Doris Elaine People and Cathy Simmons, both of Goldsboro and Yolanda Troublefield of Clinton; 10 grandchildren.
