AARON SMITH

Aaron "Catfish" Smith, 79, 297 Vinson Road, died Tuesday at his home.
Mr. Smith was born in Wayne Coun-ty to the late Lloyd and Lizzie Gurley Smith. He was a retired farmer.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with McGee Smith officiating. Burial will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Newsome Cemetery in the Hood Swamp Community.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Worrell Smith; daughter, Tammie Smith Hill of Goldsboro; sons, Charles Smith and wife, Vickie, of Goldsboro, Ray Smith and wife, Wilma, of LaGrange and James Smith of the home; sister, Ellen Yelverton and husband, Lloyd, of Goldsboro; brother, J. B. Smith and wife, Elaine, of Saulston; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Family will receive friends Thursday following the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Tammy S. Hill, 281 Vinson Road, Goldsboro.
