PIKEVILLE -- Regina Bass Theesen, 89, 407 N. Goldsboro St., died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Born in Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Bettie Rice Bass and wife of the late Virgil Theesen Sr. She was a veteran of the Women's Army Corp.
Graveside services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
She is survived by a son, Virgil Theesen Jr. of Asheboro; daughter, Kathy Rowe of Pikeville; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two step-great- grandchildren.
Family members will greet friends at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home one hour prior to the graveside service.
