PIKEVILLE -- Maybelle D. Sampson, 93, died Tuesday at the Brian Center. She was a native of Wayne County and was preceded in death by her parents, John and Zannie Dickerson.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at White Oak Grove OFWB Church, with the Rev. George Wiggins officiating. Burial will be in Forte Cemetery, Eureka.
She is survived by a son, Terry Holland of Goldsboro; a sister, Cora Lee Harper; and five grandchildren.
Viewing will be Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries. The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, 178 Best Road, and will assemble there Saturday morning in preparation for the funeral procession
