DUDLEY -- Carlton "Hayward" Baker, 50, 103 Oakridge Circle, died Wednesday at Wake Medical Center, Raleigh.
Memorial service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory, Goldsboro, with pastor Lynn Epps officiating.
Mr. Baker was born to the late James and Betty Barwick Baker. He was employed as a truck driver with Associated Materials, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Mercer Baker; three sons, Aron Bouillon and wife, Kim, of Goldsboro, Matt Jarrett and wife, Jennifer, of Dudley and Chris Baker of Goldsboro; three daughters, Tricia Keyser of Goldsboro, Robin James and husband, Brian, of Goldsboro and Dawn Stancil and fiancé, James, of Goldsboro; five brothers, Robert Baker and wife, Brenda, of Goldsboro, Allen Baker and wife, Joy, of Seven Springs, Edward Baker and wife, Sandra, of Goldsboro, Charles Baker of Goldsboro and Larry Baker and wife, Connie, of Washington; one sister, Christine Peterson of Clinton; sister-in-law, Brenda Baker of Eureka; 10 grandchildren; and his best friend, Rodger Giasson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James Bud Baker and one sister, Patty Jean Caudell.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service Saturday at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.
