RICHARD L. THOMPSON
Died Feb. 19, 2007
Richard Lewis Thompson, 80, 310 Runnel St., died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He is the husband of Elizabeth Jane Thompson. He was a member of Goldsboro Weslyan Church and a U.S. Navy veteran with 20 years of service.
Funeral Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Allen Thompson officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his sister, Alberta Matthews of Burleson, Texas; two nephews, Frank Thomas of Ocean Isle Beach and Willard Thomas of Union City, N.J. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Thompson.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
