PIKEVILLE -- Mary Hill Howell, 75, 405 N. Goldsboro St., died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, Fremont. with the Rev. Jerry Evans officiating. Graveside service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Howell Cemetery in the Stoney Creek Community.
Ms. Howell was born in Pitt County to the late Robert Lee and Rachel Bailey Hill. She was a member of Fremont Free Will Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by three daughters, Laura Crawford Massey and her husband, Jerry, of Pikeville, Phyllis Crawford Brill and her husband, James, of Goldsboro and Brenda Gail Parnell of Wilmington; two sons, Wayne M. Crawford and G. Chris Howell, both of the home; three sisters, Betsy McGuire and her husband, Sam, of Pikeville, Joyce Ferrell of Black Creek and Janet Hill of Lucama; two brothers, James Robert Hill of Wilson and the Rev. Reddin F. Hill of Rockingham; four grandchildren, Michael Parnell and wife, Jenny, Susan Harts and husband, Derek, Jamie Brill and Phillip Brill; five great-grandchildren, Aaron Parnell, Lyndsey Parnell, Cassie Parnell, Kristen Parnell and Elizabeth Harts.
The family will be receiving friends following the service Thursday at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont and other times at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and James Brill, 200 Lane Ridge Drive, Goldsboro.
Although flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, 27834.
