GREENSBORO -- Funeral services for Margaret Oates Humphrey, 61, 1305 Highland Ave., formerly of Wayne County, will be Wednesday at Garris Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. L. D. Melvin officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
She is the daughter of the Essie Darden Oates and the late Eddie Oates. She was a former transportation supervisor at Commons Nursing Facility in Greensboro.
She is survived by a daughter, Tammy Humphrey of Pikeville; son, Victor Humphrey of Pikeville; mother, Essie Oates of Mount Olive; special companion, James Mapp of Burlington; and granddaughter, Jamalia Humphrey of Goldsboro.
Viewing will be Tuesday 3 to 7 p.m. at the Garris Funeral Home Chapel, Mount Olive. The family will receive friends at the residence of her mother, Essie Oates, 204 Elmore St., Mount Olive.
