CHARLES A. WIGGS

Charles Alton Wiggs, 77, 2808 Langston Drive, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Wayne County to the late Ossie W. and Lola Lynch Wiggs. He operated the Wiggs Timber business until his retirement. He served his country in the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Thurman Horney officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn "Weasel" Hill Wiggs; his daughter, Terry W. Pate and husband, Mike, of Goldsboro; his son, Charles Wiggs Jr. and wife, Terry, of Wilmington; and five grandchildren, Brad Wiggs, Charlie Wiggs, Keaton Wiggs, Tyler Pate and Tanner Pate.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
The family received friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at his residence.
