CLARICE N. HASKINS

WILSON -- Clarice "Ricy" Elizabeth Newkirk Haskins, 78, 507 Manchester St., died Sunday at Wilson Medical Center. She was a native of Wayne County, 1945 graduate of Dillard High School, and served on the Stewardess Board, Conference Workers, Cathedral Choir and Deaconess Board of St. John AME Zion Church.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. John AME Zion Church, 119 N. Pender St., Wilson, with Dr. Michael Bell, officiating. Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street Extension,Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hilton Newkirk and Maggie Newkirk Baines.
Ms. Haskins is survived by her husband, James Thomas Haskins of the home; two stepsons, Hal Haskins of Norfolk, Va., and the Rev. Ernie Haskins of Goldsboro; one grandchild.
Viewing will be Friday at St. John AME Zion Church from 4 to 6 p.m.
