ERNESTINE PEMBERTON

WARSAW -- Ernestine M. "Coot" Pemberton, 75, 114 Matthew St., died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was born to the late Henry Albert and Ida Miller in Duplin County and was educated in the Duplin County Public School System.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Hines Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Dr. Naverro Brown and the Rev. Leslie Morrisey officiating. Interment will follow in Devotional Gardens.
She is survived by three sons, Thomas Pemberton of Wilmington, Swindell Pemberton Jr. of Central Fall, R.I., Larry Pemberton of New London, Conn.; three daughters, Adell P. Wright of Clinton, Ann Pemberton and Sheila Morrisey, both of Warsaw; three sisters, Annie Wilson of Warsaw, Janice Allen and Geraldine Miller, both of Springfield, Md.; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Rhodes Funeral Home, Warsaw.
The funeral procession will assemble at the residence at 1 p.m. in preparation for the funeral.
