MOUNT OLIVE -- Frances Farrior Cook, 65, 468 N.C. Highway 55 East, died Wednesday afternoon at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. by the graveside at Wayne Memorial Park. Officiating will be the Rev. Sherman Dilley and the Rev. Bobby Smith.
Mrs. Cook, a native of Calypso, was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Ruth Albritton Farrior. She was a member of Northeast Free Will Baptist Church where she had been a Sunday School teacher, choir director and youth leader. Her bookkeeping career included employment at Mount Olive Tribune, Jenkins Gas and Oil Co., and McKee Oil Co.
She is survived by her husband, Oliver 'Mac" Cook of the home; a brother, Bobby Farrior and his wife, Linda, of Calypso; and several nieces, nephews, in-laws and extended family.
Visitation will be tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at Tyndall's Funeral Home in Mount Olive. At other times, family and friends will be received at Mac's childhood home, now the residence of Carroll & Effie Cook, 140 Cook Lane, Mount Olive.
