DUDLEY -- Joshua "Josh" Allen McIntosh, 16, 629 Eagles Nest Road, died Sunday due to injuries received in an automobile accident. Born in Wayne County, he is the son of John and Rhonda McIntosh. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Buck and Judy McIntosh, paternal great-grandmother, Ella Mae Irvin and his uncle, Jerry McIntosh. Josh was a Junior at Southern Wayne High School.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jay Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
In addition to his parents, Josh is survived by his maternal grandfather, Gene Witherington of Mount Olive; his maternal grandmother, Frances Guyton Lewis of Bladenboro; his paternal great-grandmother, Lossie Bell Witherington of Mount Olive; girlfriend, Logan Peepers of Goldsboro; uncles, Phillip Witherington of Goldsboro, Brian Witherington and wife, Amy, of Mount Olive, Michael McIntosh and friend, Segrid Greene, of Clinton, Carlton McIntosh of Dudley, Roger McIntosh and wife, Connie, of Mount Olive; and aunt, Wanda Jackson and husband, Allen, of Mount Olive.
Family members will greet friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home, 629 Eagles Nest Road, Dudley, 28333.
