Justin Michael Niege Curtis, 7, 1183 Old Smithfield Road, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Born in Pitt County, he was a student at Edgewood Developmental School and enjoyed the therapeutic horseback riding at the school. His plans were to compete in the Special Olympics when he was old enough.
Memorial services will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home in Goldsboro.
Justin is survived by his mother, Patricia Curtis of the home; his maternal grandparents, Joseph, III and Angela Curtis of the home; his maternal great- grandparents, Joseph, II and Betty Curtis of S.C.; two brothers, Masin Williford and Jasen Williford, both of the home; one aunt, Amy Curtis of the home; and two cousins, Tyler Cenate & Piper Cenate, both of the home.
The family will be receiving friends Thursday immediately following the memorial service at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home.
