DR. CORBETT L. QUINN SR.
Died Dec. 16, 2006
MAGNOLIA -- Dr. Corbett Latimer Quinn Sr., 80, died Saturday at Duplin General Hospital. He was born in Duplin County to the late Corbett L. and Ina Turner Quinn. Dr. Quinn served in the U.S. Army, retired from the N.C. National Guard and was the first N.C. State Surgeon of the National Guard. He also served Duplin County in numerous capacities including doctor, medical director and medical examiner.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Magnolia United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Quinn Family Cemetery in Potters Hill. Visitation will be tonight at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw from 7 to 9 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Montgomery Quinn of the home; daughter, Risa Quinn Feldbusch and husband, Matthew John of Fayetteville; brothers, Graham P. and Daniel Lloyd Quinn of Potters Hill and A. Fitch Quinn of Pink Hill; grandchildren, John Cody Feldbusch, Amanda Rhea Quinn, Tyler Justin Quinn and April Russell; great-granddaughter, Katie Russell.
Dr. Quinn was preceded in death by his son, Corbett L. (Buster) Quinn Jr.
