FOUR OAKS - William F. "Tittle" Thornton, 64, Oasis of Four Oaks, died Wednesday.
Graveside service will be today at 11 a.m. at Thornton Family Cemetery, Newton Grove, with the Rev. David Jarman officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James William and Bertha Langston Thornton and a brother, Eddie Ray Thornton.
He is survived by three sisters, Brenda Thornton and Eleanor Strickland of Mount Olive and Ernestine Tucker of Newton Grove; three brothers, Buck Thornton of Goldsboro, Dwight Thornton of Newton Grove and Keith Earl Thornton of Benson.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to West and Dunn Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
