An early Sunday morning fire that left $1,000 in damages to a 1996 Toyota Corolla has been ruled as suspicious by the Goldsboro Fire Department.
The car was parked in a driveway 1700 Hawthorne St. when the owner, a 32-year-old woman, said she heard a noise.
Her boyfriend went outside and saw that the car was on fire.
He told her it was on fire and then used a water hose in an attempt to douse the fire.
Goldsboro Fire Department Engine 4 responded and deemed the fire suspicious.
There was no additional information on the police report on the incident.
