Baker-Stancil
Amber Rose Baker and Daniel Blake Stancil exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 10 at 5 p.m. at River Landing Clubhouse, with George Gregory Stancil officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Tony Franklin and Karen Denning Baker of Pikeville and the granddaughter of Freddie and Joyce Baker of Dunn and Facie and Pauline Denning of Pikeville.
She graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School in 2009 and the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2013. She is employed as a loan services support agent at BB&T.
The groom is the son of George Gregory and Mary Lois Stancil of Kenly and the grandson of Jeff Stancil of Grifton and Jean Ferrell of Lucama and Delton and Lois Joyner of Elm City.
He graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School in 2007 and East Carolina University in 2016. He is employed as an electronic specialist engineer at Universal Leaf North America.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore an ivory lace over satin A-line gown with a chapel train and a lace veil with beaded trim.
The bride carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas and roses.
Emily Coggins, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor, while the bridesmaids were Mary Downing, Kathleen Giebler, Mary Beth Mullett, Kasey Pittman and Brittany Woodin.
Matthew Stancil, brother of the groom, served as best man.
Groomsmen were Edward Coggins, Gregory Davis, Trent Langston, Evan Medford and Brandon Price.
Ushers were Bradley Fisher and Erik Langston.
Annabelle Kate Coggins was flower girl.
Amy Fisher directed the wedding, and presiding at the register was Pett Hare.
Barry Stallings served as the MC/DJ at the reception.
A program of wedding music was provided by Davis Harrison, pianist, and Dylan Harrison, vocalist.
Hors d’oeuvres and dinner were served at River Landing Grand Ballroom following the ceremony.
Events held before the wedding included a shower hosted by Pleasant Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church May 22; a second shower hosted by family and friends at Antioch Original Free Will Baptist Church June 4; and a bridal getaway hosted by Brittany Woodin at Wrightsville Beach June 24 and 25.
A rehearsal dinner was held at the Mad Boar Restaurant, hosted by the parents of the groom the eve of the wedding.
After a wedding trip to Maroma Beach, Mexico, the couple resides in Stantonsburg, N.C.
