Bowyer-Casey
Ashley Lane Bowyer of Fremont and Matthew Lee Casey of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 4, 2014, at 5 p.m. at New Hope Friends Church, with the Rev. William Cox officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Geoffrey Lane Bowyer of Portland, Ore., and Phyllis Kearney Goodwin of Fremont. She is the granddaughter of Stanley Lee Bowyer of Rockaway Beach, Ore., Lynda Lee Nelson of Portland and George Ray and Carolyn Kearney Goodwin of Fremont.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School. She attended Wayne Community College, where she graduated in 2007 with an associate degree in chemistry. She went on to attend Mount Olive College. She graduated in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree, majoring in business administration/health care management and minoring in business leadership. She is employed as a sales team manager at Belk in Goldsboro.
The groom is the son of Lee Randolph and Pamela Cox Casey of Goldsboro and the grandson of Mary Best Casey and the late Martin Ward Casey of Goldsboro and Janet Kennedy Cox and the late James Felix Cox of Richlands.
The groom achieved his Eagle Scout in 1999 with Troop 258, and is a 2003 graduate of Rosewood High School. He attended North Carolina State University, where he graduated in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed as a manufacturing engineer at Telair US Cargo Systems.
The bride was escorted by George Ray Goodwin and given in marriage by George Ray Goodwin and family.
Laura Pappas served as matron of honor, and Karen Odom was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Heather Casey, Jillian Casey, Christina McDonough and Dana Kelman.
Lee Casey served as best man.
Groomsmen were Hunter Casey, Blake Howell, Jonathan Parker, Jeremy Reid, Justin Howell and Stephen Tate.
Beverly Amerson directed the wedding, with the assistance of Sharon Kee. Presiding at the guest register was Britney Howell.
A program of wedding music was provided by Tom Casey, pianist; Darlene Howell, vocalist; and Tony Howell, guitarist.
After a wedding trip to Colorado Springs, Colo., the couple resides in Goldsboro, N.C.
