Lydia Caroline Boyette and Ryan Keith Clarke exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 30, 2015, at 3 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Troy, N.C., with the Rev. Dr. Bryan Faggart officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Blair Davis and Alice Cagle Boyette of Star and the granddaughter of the late John Boyette of Star, the late Amanda Davis Boyette of Wake Forest and William Everette Cagle Sr. and Lydia Kidd Cagle of Star.
She is a 2015 magna cum laude graduate from Campbell University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration in health care management and a minor in general science.
She is a student at Campbell University’s Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine to earn a doctorate of medicine degree with an emphasis in either emergency medicine or plastic surgery.
The groom is the son of Dr. Donald Keith and Julia Hamilton Clarke of Goldsboro and the grandson of Jerry Creighton and Shirley Honeycutt Clarke of Mount Olive, Irma Leggett Hamilton of Goldsboro and the late John Arthur Hamilton of Raleigh.
He was salutatorian at Wayne Christian School in 2009. He graduated in 2013 from Liberty University with a bachelor of science degree in computer engineering. Then, he went on the earn a Master of science degree in computer networking from North Carolina State University in 2015.
He is employed as an information technology engineer at Cisco Systems located in the Research Triangle Park.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore an ivory Maggie Sottero ballgown with a sweetheart neckline.
The dress was covered with embroidered lace on tulle sparkles sewn with metallic thread and adorned with Swarovski crystals.
Sarah Alice Boyette and Rachel Faith Boyette, sisters of the bride, were maids of honor.
Bridesmaids were Emma Caroline Busick; Amy Kathryn Clarke, groom’s sister; Grace Caroline Cross, bride’s cousin; Alexandra Nicole Matthews; and Kacey Lauren Medlin.
Donald Keith Clarke, groom’s father, and John Erikson Manby served as best men
Groomsmen were Daniel Hinson Adams; William Mitchell Cross, bride’s cousin; Robert George Hankins III; William Elijah Hopchak; and James Carlyle Rogers III.
Honorary bridesmaids were Sydney Marigold Bartholow, Rachel Sutton Cline, Kimrey Anne Dillon, Elizabeth Antoinette Hill, Sarah Brooke Medlin and Hannah Renee Presnell.
Mr. Allen Reeder directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Lisa Michelle Hankins. Katherine Nicole Gentry distributed wedding programs.
Dr. and Mrs. Marcus Eugene Gentry served as greeters.
A program of wedding music was provided by the Rev. Dr. Paul Chandley, pianist. and Mr. Trey Lincoln and Ms. Alexandra Matthews, vocalists. Mrs. Sophia Pavlenko-Chandley was organist.
A reception was hosted by the bride’s parents at Pinewood Country Club in Asheboro, N.C.
After a Royal Caribbean cruise wedding trip from Port Canaveral, Fla., to the Bahamas, St. Maarten, St. Thomas and St. John, the couple resides in Fuquay-Varina, N.C.
A rehearsal was hosted by the groom’s parents at Pinewood Country Club in Asheboro, N.C.
Events held before the wedding included a couple’s shower given by friends of the groom Dec. 22, 2014, at the home of Drs. Robert and Michele Larson and a bridal shower given by the bride’s grandmother and aunt March 29, 2015, at the home of Caroline Cross Crawford.
