Katlyn Kornegay Eloshway and David Brad Rhodes of Mount Olive exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Dec. 27, 2014, at 5 p.m. at Goldsboro FIrst Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Paul Rose officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Gregory and Claire Kornegay Eloshway of Faison and the granddaughter of the late Eugene George of Goldsboro, Minnie Bogue Eloshway of Goldsboro and Dollie Swinson Kornegay and the late Morris Clayton Kornegay of Faison.

She received a bachelor’s degree in public health from East Carolina University. She currently attends Methodist University for a Masters in Physician Assistant degree.

The groom is the son of Brian Thomas Rhodes of Mount Olive and Greta Lewis Rhodes of Mount Olive and the grandson of the late Dallas Mangum and Jean Thomas Rhodes of Beulaville and David Wayne Lewis and Judy Holland Lewis of White Lake.

He received a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education from East Carolina University. He currently is employed as a health and physical education teacher and coach in the Duplin County School System.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by the parents of the bride.

She wore a dress was designed by the Pronovias fashion group based out of Barcelona, Spain.

She chose a petit pois and tulle gipure wedding dress with swarovski crystal and gemstone embroidery.

The gown had a sweetheart neckline with a bateau neck camisole.

It was also designed with a sheer back adorned with guipure appliques. Her dress featured a mermaid skirt with appliques and a scalloped hem.

A cathedral-length veil was worn that complimented the dress perfectly finished with matching scalloped trim.

Mrs. Lyndsey Eloshway Lee, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor, while bridesmaids were Mrs. Krystal Kornegay Rose, Mrs. Courtneay Kornegay Overbee, cousins of the bride, and Miss Kelly Rose Beasley and Miss Brittany Leigh Carr, friends of the bride.

Mr. Brian Thomas Rhodes, father of the groom, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Mr. Dallas Blake Rhodes, brother of the groom, and Mr. Adrian Doug Lloyd, Mr. Justin Durward Johnson and Mr. Craig Justin Lee, friends of the groom.

Miss Emma Claire Lee was flower girl.

Master Collin James Lee was ringbearer.

Mrs. Cindy Ezzell Bell and Mrs. Melba Ezzell Harrell directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Kornegay. Miss Catherine Deibert distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Mr. Jayson Keeton, pianist; Mr. Michael T. Mozingo, vocalist; and Miss Tricia Tanner, harpist.

A reception hosted by the bride’s parents was held at Walnut Creek County Club, with entertainment by the Jupiter Jones band.

After a wedding trip to Asheville, N.C., the couple resides in Warsaw, N.C.

A rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom’s parents was held at Walnut Creek County Club.

Events held before the wedding included an engagement party hosted by the bride’s parents at Rose Hill Winery; a shower hosted by the bride’s church, Bear Marsh Baptist in Mount Olive; a shower hosted by the groom’s church, Faison Presbyterian in Faison; a monogram shower hosted by Miss Kelly Beasley; a bachelorette weekend hosted by Mrs. Lyndsey Lee and Mrs. Courtneay Overbee; a honeymoon dinner held in Mount Olive given by the groom’s parents; a bachelor’s event was hosted by the groom’s father; and a bridal luncheon held at The Country Squire in Warsaw given by the bride’s great-aunts.
