Daniels-Williams
Kathryn Lynn Daniels and Eric Dean Williams exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 5, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Circular Congregational Church in Charleston, S.C., with pastor Judson Cook of Raleigh officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jeffrey Daniels of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Norwood Daniels Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Gideon Allen of Goldsboro.
She graduated in 2009 from Wayne Christian School and North Carolina State University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in construction engineering and management and a minor in economics.
She is employed by HICAPS’ Construction Group in Greensboro, N.C., in project management.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Dean Williams of Goldsboro and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George David Williams of Goldsboro and the Rev. and Mrs. Carl Gordon Gibbs of Burgaw.
He graduated in 2008 from Wayne Christian School and Mount Olive College in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.
He is employed as an independent insurance agent at Dean Williams Insurance Agency.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore an elegant light ivory silk Mikado trumpet gown by Victoria Nicole. It featured a bateau neckline with a delicate narrow band emphasizing her waist. Delicate covered bridal buttons and loops adorned the back of the gown all the way to the back of the waist and godet of the train.
The bride’s custom made bird cage veil was made of Russian tulle, and incorporated lace flowers and pearls from her mother’s veil.
The bridal bouquet was an artful combination of ivory peonies, cream garden roses, peach and ivory miniature calla lilies, white ranunculus, sweet peas and mango parrot tulips pulled into a loose bouquet with cascading peach calla lilies and trailing ivy attached to an heirloom bridal prayer book carried by her grandmother and mother.
Courtney Chewning Keesee of Goldsboro, cousin of the bride, served as matron of honor and Anna Lauren Daniels of Goldsboro, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Taylor Katherine Allen of Troy, Ala., cousin of the bride; Leslie Ann Crawford of Goldsboro, friend of the bride; Kelsey Celeste Davis of Cary, friend of the bride; Allison Rose Radford of Fayetteville, friend of the bride; Kailey Marie Davis of Cary, friend of the bride; and Lauren Williams Massey of Princeton, sister of the groom.
George Dean Williams served as best man.
Groomsmen were Adam Keith Combs of Goldsboro, cousin of the groom; Jon Wayne Dotter of Raleigh, friend of the groom; William James Vinson of Wilmington, friend of the groom; Austin Craig Forrest of Goldsboro, friend of the groom; William Stacey Pfau of Wilmington, friend of the groom; James Robert Bish of Goldsboro, friend of the groom; and Jesse William Massey of Princeton, brother-in-law of the groom.
Ushers were cousins of the bride, Jeremiah James Daniels of Goldsboro, Daniel Grant Chewning of Goldsboro, Austin Blake Allen of Wilmington and Kenneth David Keesee of Goldsboro.
Ella McKandlis Massey of Goldsboro, niece of the groom, was flower girl.
Ceremony and reception attendants were Meredith Linden Craig of Goldsboro, friend of the bride; Sarah Lindley Pierce of Goldsboro, friend of the bride; and Victoria Paige Combs of Goldsboro, cousin of the groom
Scripture readers were Jeremiah James and Kate Marston Daniels of Goldsboro.
A program of wedding music was provided by Judy Hammett, pianist; Jay Nelson Kornegay and Blair Mozingo, vocalists; and Elli Jos, violinist.
A reception was hosted by the parents of the bride at The Mills House Grand Hotel in Charleston, S.C.
After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple resides in Greensboro, N.C.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom at the Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant, S.C.
Events held before the wedding included a Christmas shower hosted by Jan Rose and Allison Rose Radford at the home of Mrs. Rose; a shower at the home of Sue Bedford in Cary hosted by Sue Bedford and Donna Davis; a shower hosted by the ladies of Daniels Memorial United Methodist Church; a shower hosted by the Gardner and Williams families at the home of Sue Williams; a shower hosted by friends at Stoney Creek Baptist Church; a lingerie shower and bachelorette party in Wilmington hosted by Courtney Keesee; a groom’s tool shower at Lane Tree Country Club hosted by Dean Williams; a bridesmaids’ luncheon at Bluewater Waterfront Grill in Wrightsville Beach, N.C., hosted by aunts of the bride, Kathy Allen, Lynn Chewning, Kathy Daniels and Alice Wilson; a “welcome dance” at Boone Hall Plantation hosted by the bride’s parents on the eve of the wedding; and a bridesmaids’ breakfast the morning of the wedding hosted by the bride’s grandmothers, Frances Allen and Geraldine Daniels.
