Outlaw-Nunn
Hannah Suzanne Outlaw and Matthew Linwood Nunn of Dudley exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony March 30 at 5 p.m. at Goldsboro Country Club, with the Rev. Doug Bartlett officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Haywood and Bonnie Bizzell Outlaw of Dudley, N.C., and the granddaughter of Ruth Outlaw and the late Rob Outlaw of Dudley and the late Rev. Tom Ed and Rachel Bizzell of Princeton.
She is a graduate of Southern Wayne High School, with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and an associate degree in nursing from Cape Fear Community College School of Nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse on the oncology floor at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The groom is the son of Paige Buren Nunn and the late Van Nunn of Dudley and the grandson of Katrina Nunn and the late Parham Nunn of Mount Olive and the late Francis and Eleanor Buren of Prince George, Va.
He is a graduate of Spring Creek High School, with a bachelor’s degree in industrial distribution and logistics at East Carolina University, a master’s degree in management and leadership from Liberty University, and currently pursuing a master’s in divinity from Liberty University. He is employed as the materials manager at Reuel Inc.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore an antique lace fit and flare gown with a lace neckline of contoured straps that continued to a keyhole back with a chapel-length train and covered buttons. A pearl and diamond white ribbon sash accented the waist, with a cathedral-length veil and baby’s breath in her hair.
Her bouquet of pink peonies, white hydrangeas, white and pink roses and greenery was wrapped with white ribbon, and her mother’s pearl necklace she wore on her wedding day. She also wore her mother’s garter.
Hollie Outlaw, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Tamara Baltazar, cousin of the bride, and Brytani Fraser and Christy Westbrook, friends of the bride.
Patrick Nunn, brother of the groom, served as best man.
Groomsmen were Bradley Davis, Jason Buchtmann and Josh Boatright, friends of the groom.
Harper Nunn, niece of the groom, was flower girl, and Van Walker Nunn, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.
Sue Davis directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs were Betsy Woodard and Annette Holland, aunts of the bride. They also cut the wedding cake.
A program of wedding music was provided by Kathy Barker, pianist.
Anne Bartlett prayed over the couple and the reception meal. A sit-down dinner reception followed at Goldsboro Country Club.
After a wedding trip to Sandals Resort in Nassau, Bahamas, the couple resides in Sleepy Creek.
The rehearsal dinner was given by the mother of the groom at Goldsboro Country Club.
Events held before the wedding included a bridesmaids’ trip to Charleston, S.C., Dec. 19 through 21; a surprise groom shower given by the Reuel staff March 14; and a surprise bridal shower given by the fourth floor nurses and nurse aides March 19.
