Kayla Zandare Wallace and Rexford Tracy Price exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Sept. 22, 2012, at 5 in the evening at Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church, with the Rev. Jeff Dail officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Sharon Wallace of Albertson and the granddaughter of Virginia Wallace and the late Mahlon Wallace of Albertson and Christine Futrell and the late Ervin Futrell of Richlands.
The bride is a graduate of East Duplin High School and Wayne Community College. She is employed as a registered nurse at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The groom is the son of Tracy and Sue Price of Seven Springs and the grandson of Marion Barwick, the late Rexford Price and the late Mamie Barwick of Seven Springs and Arnold and Lou Smith of Seven Springs.
The groom is a graduate of Spring Creek High School and North Carolina State University. He is employed as a farmer at Price Brothers Farming Inc.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
The bride wore a custom designed Casablanca strapless, fit-and-flare gown with beaded lace over luxe satin.
As a headpiece, she wore a fingertip-length cascading veil trimmed with scalloped crystal beading.
She carried a bouquet of aqua gerbera daisies and yellow and white mixed flowers.
Michelle Wallace Rouse, sister of the bride, of Albertson, served as matron of honor, while Megan Wallace, sister of the bride, of Albertson, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Amber Howell, sister of the groom, of Seven Springs, Velvet Newbold, cousin of the bride, of Jacksonville, Elizabeth Price, cousin of the groom, of Seven Springs and Elizabeth Wallace, cousin of the bride, of Albertson.
Tracy Price, father of the groom, served as best man.
Groomsmen were Graham Bennett, friend of the groom, of Mount Olive, Justin Price, cousin of the groom, of Seven Springs, Zachary Price, cousin of the groom, of Seven Springs, Jamie Rouse, friend of the groom, of Seven Springs and Scott Rouse, brother-in-law of the bride, of Albertson.
Ashtyn Dawson, niece of the groom,was flower girl.
Bailey Rouse, niece of the bride, was the miniature bride.
Austin Rouse, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer.
Amy Wallace directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Traci Parker.
A program of wedding music was provided by Gloria Morgan, pianist, and Blair Mozingo, vocalist.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Lane Tree Golf Club. The cake was cut and served by aunts of the bride, Donna Futrell and Debra Wallace. Guests were greeted by Curtis and Joy Tripp and Michael and Sherry Price.
After a wedding trip to Saint Lucia, the couple resides in Seven Springs.
Events held before the wedding included a rehearsal dinner Sept. 21 at Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church hosed by the groom’s parents; a bachelorette/lingerie party Sept. 15 hosted by her bridesmaids and friends and a bachelor party hosted by his groomsmen and friends; a wedding shower Aug. 5 given by the groom’s family and friends at Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church; a wedding shower July 29 given by the bride’s family and friends at the home of Joy Tripp; and a lawn and garden shower July 14 given by Morris and Linda Murphy, Bo and Joy Britt, Larry and Trudy Shiver and Linwood and Linda Price at the home of Morris and Linda Murphy.
