Gardner-Wiggins
Haley Nan Gardner and Brady Neal Wiggins exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 30, 2012, at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church, with Doug Bartlett and Jeff Dail officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Chuck and Angie Gardner of Mount Olive and the granddaughter of Charles and Terri Gardner and Delton and Ann Grady.
She is a 2007 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a 2011 graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in public and interpersonal communication.
The groom is the son of Bobby and Patricia Wiggins and Ronald and Kelly Barrow of Goldsboro, the grandson of the late Linda Teel, Daniel and Bobbi Fisher, Iola Barrow and the late James Barrow.
He is a 2007 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a 2011 graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition science and human biology. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore an ivory Chantilly lace Bliss by Monique Lhuillier gown. The modified trumpet-style bodice featured a satin sash embellished with Swarovski crystals above the waistline, a V-shaped back with ivory satin buttons and a chapel-length train with a scalloped hemline.
Her headpiece was a fingertip-length cascading veil trimmed with ivory satin.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of all-white peonies accented with variegated pittosporum greenery. The stems were wrapped with ivory satin ribbon and adorned with a monogrammed linen handkerchief made from the groom’s baby bonnet.
Alex Walters, friend and college roommate of the bride, served as matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Allison Barrow, sister of the groom; Sydney Purvis, cousin of the bride; Carly Reed, cousin of the groom; and Tara Tillman and Kelsea Walters, friends of the bride.
Daniel Fisher, grandfather of the groom, served as best man.
Groomsmen were Judson Fisher and Chas Reed, cousins of the groom; Chase Gardner, brother of the bride; and Nathan Janak and Dave Overman, friends of the groom.
Ushers were Justin Lewis and Garrett Lewis, cousins of the bride.
Makayla Gardner, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.
Carter Lewis, friend of the couple, was ringbearer.
Robin Hall and Jennifer Lewis directed the wedding and reception. Presiding at the register was Amy Leonard, aunt of the bride. Emily Leonard, cousin of the bride, distributed programs.
Tommy and Angie Sanders greeted guests at the wedding. Wayne Williams assisted as wedding director liaison for First Baptist Church. Ellis Holland served as sound technician.
A program of wedding music was provided by Kevin and Amy Mooring, pianists and vocalists.
Violinists were Media, Micah and Hannah Lee; guitarist was Jerry Strickland.
A reception was held at Goldsboro Country Club. Guests were greeted by Shelton and Lisa Lewis and Hannah Brock. Cake was served by Tracy Purvis. Other reception helpers included Kevin and Amy Leonard and Mike and Carole Gardner.
After a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple will be relocating to Winchester, Va.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom at Lane Tree Golf Course June 29. The groom presented gifts to his attendants.
