Skelton - Walker
Logan Trammell Skelton and Scott Simmons Walker exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Nov. 26 at 5 p.m. at Saulston United Methodist Church, with Carolyn Sims of Goldsboro and Wallace White of Oak Grove, La., officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Donnie Joe and Hope Skelton of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Carl Ray and Dorothy White Skelton and the late Harry and Frances Trammell of Indianola, Miss.
The groom is the son of Jim and Kathy Walker of Goldsboro and the grandson of the late Carl and Emily Walker of Atmore, Ala., and Erlene Simmons and the late Clyde Simmons of Jay, Fla.
The bride was escorted by father and given in marriage by both parents.
She wore an A-line V-neck backless white handbeaded gown.
The bride’s veil was fingertip-length etched with lace.
She carried a clutch of orange roses.
Hannah Skelton, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Heather Edwards of Mount Olive and Brooke Newell and Summer Scott of Goldsboro.
Mick Walker was his brother’s best man.
Groomsmen were Marcus McCallister of Fayetteville and Brooks Jarnagin, Adam Martin and Joey Skelton of Goldsboro.
Terri Kornegay directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Kellen Skinner.
A program of wedding music was provided by harpist Andrea Blanchfield of Raleigh.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church. Reception greeters were Sheila Crawford, Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Lapas and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Scott.
After their wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Pikeville.
Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower at the home of Sheila Crawford hosted by Ms.Crawford, Alexa Barnhart, Kellie West and Stefanie Adams and a bridesmaids’ luncheon in the home of Alicia Lapas hosted by Mrs. Lapas and Terri Kornegay.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Lane Tree.
