Bozard - Rawls
Chelcie Rawls and Dreher Bozard of Halifax exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 8 at 3 p.m. at Forest Hills Baptist Church in Wilson, with the Rev. C. Ray Barnhill officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Andy and Diane Rawls of Wilson and the granddaughter of Rachel Rawls and the late John Rawls of Dudley, Maureen Barratt and the late Stuart Barratt of Goldsboro and Dwain Montgomery of Kokomo, Ind.
She graduated from Hunt High School in Wilson and attended Wilson Community College. She attends nursing school at Nash Community College. She is employed as part-time server/trainer at Cracker Barrel in Roanoke Rapids.
The groom is the son of Rod and Linda Bozard of Enfield and the grandson of Willie Bozard and the late John Bozard of Enfield.
He graduated from Halifax Academy’s Basic Law Enforcement Training. He is employed as sheriff’s deputy with Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Ashley B. Cobb of Pinetops was her sister’s matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Stephanie Sommerville and Laurie Strickland of Wilson and Brittany Petway of Lucama, friends of the bride.
Rod Bozard was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Jonathan Cobb of Pinetops, brother-in-law of the groom; John Bozard of Enfield, cousin of the groom; and Nate Mould of Raleigh and Charles Stuart Locke of Wilmington, friends of the groom.
Ushers were Brandon Denton of Spring Hope and Jay Bryant of Enfield, friends of the groom.
Sammy Mould of Red Oak was the junior bridesmaid.
Samantha Edgerton of Macclesfield was flower girl.
Karen Stancil directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Paige Perry. Strickland distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Jennifer Bryant, pianist; the Rev. Grant Stanley and Melissa Eatmon, vocalists; and Clyde Patterson, organist.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The Leaning Tree in Bailey.
After their wedding trip to Atlantic Beach, the couple will reside in Halifax.
A rehearsal dinner was held at The Leaning Tree.
