Rachel Kimberly Tapley and Timothy Aaron Gorman exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 16 at 2 p.m. at Goldsboro Worship Center, with pastor Danny Johnson officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Jimmy Tapley Jr. and Kimberly Ann Tapley of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Jimmy and Michaelene Tapley of Seffner, Fla., and Donald E. and Lois J. May of Pikeville.

She is a 2007 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and attends Lenoir Community College for a certificate in phlebotomy and Wayne Community College for a nursing degree.

The groom is the son of Vincent Gorman Jr. and Tammy Renee Gorman of LaGrange and the grandson of Vincent L. Gorman and Betty J. Gorman of Middleboro, Mass., and Billie E. and Alba F. Hodge of Mount Lookout, W. Va.

He is a 2008 graduate of Spring Creek High School. He is a volunteer firefighter for Elroy Fire Department.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

The bride wore an ivory gown with a strapless ruched neckline, a chiffon overlay and a beaded bodice that extended down the chapel-length train.

Her headpiece was an ivory finger-tip-length veil of rhinestones and ivory ribbon trim.

The bride carried a bouquet of purple-toned hydrangeas and ivory-toned tulips bound with baregrass greenery and hand-tied with an ivory ribbon.

Adriana Bator was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Chrissie Guevremont, Alex Sikes, Kywonda Lewis and Courtney Wegman.

Pastor Michael Gorman was best man.

Groomsmen were Kyle Tapley, Josh Newsome, Brandon Voyles and Kaelin Johnson.

Khloee Tapley was flower girl. Addison Johnson was ringbearer.

Michelle Johnson directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Jessica Smith.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Goldsboro Worship Center.

After their wedding trip to Wilmington, the couple will reside in LaGrange.

Events held before the wedding included a surprise engagement party Nov. 20 at Logan’s Roadhouse hosted by friends; a wedding shower May 21 at Goldsboro Worship Center; a surprise bachelorette party June 18 at Nonna’s Italian Restaurant in Lillington hosted by the bridesmaids; and a bachelor/tool party July 8.

The groom’s family hosted a rehearsal dinner July 15 at Goldsboro Worship Center.
