Jenna Elizabeth Puckett of Pikeville and John Michael Best of Pikeville exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 11 at 6 p.m. at the beach in Atlantic Beach, with the Rev. Barry Ginn officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Craig Allen Puckett of Ayden and Tommy Rose Cifers of Kittrell and the granddaughter of the late Judith Brame Puckett of Creedmoor and Faye Lamm Rose and the late Jimmy Morris Rose of Pikeville.

She is employed as community relations director at Emeritus at The Pines of Goldsboro.

The groom is the son of John Robert and Pam Kornegay Best of Mount Olive, the grandson of Tempie Barwick Davis, the late Kenneth Isaiah Best and Bobby Ray and Annie Frances Kornegay of Mount Olive and the great-grandson of Hazel Brown.

He is owner/operator at East Coast Rhythms Mobile DJ Entertainment.

The bride was escorted by her son, Elijah Christopher Sittig, and given in marriage by her family.

She wore an ivory strapless chiffon gown. The bodice featured asymmetrical ruching highlighted with crystal beading at the natural waistline. The A-line skirt was accented with a split front that flowed into a sweep train.

Her headpiece was a fingertip-length comb veil trimmed in Swarovski crystals.

The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of mixed flowers with her late grandfather’s fire department badge attached.

Jennifer Pope Hart was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Tonya Nicole Faircloth, Karen Pope Radford and Megan Lynn Denning.

Tyler Best was his father’s best man.

Groomsmen were Matthew Hart, Josh Tart and Chase Deaver.

Ellis Smith was the usher.

Gracyn Elizabeth Hart was flower girl. Elijah Christopher Sittig was ringbearer.

Ariel Smith distributed programs.

Neal and Hope Taylor, Trisha Capps, Heidi Raper and Phyllis Ginn were special helpers.

Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held at The Country Club of the Crystal Coast.

After their wedding trip to Walt Disney World, Lake Buena Vista, Fla., the couple will reside in Pikeville.

Events held before the wedding included a miscellaneous shower May 13 at the home of Joey and Danah Raper hosted by the bride’s family; a lingerie shower May 27 at the home of Matthew and Jennifer Hart hosted by Mrs. Hart; a bachelorette party May 27 hosted by the bridesmaids; and a bachelor party May 27 hosted by the groomsmen.

A rehearsal dinner was held at Mccurdys Restaurant on Moonlight Bay.
