Barnes-Howard
Jamesha Marie Howard of Goldsboro and Montay Leyell Barnes of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 18 at 4 p.m. at Rebuilding Broken Places, with the Rev. Rhonda Coley officiating.
The bride is the daughter of the late James Randolph and Jo Ann Howard of Dudley and the granddaughter of Marie Whitfield Lofton of Dudley and the late Edgar Lee Yelverton Sr. of Goldsboro.
She is a 1997 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and attended East Carolina University. She attends Ashford University for a degree in health and human services.
The groom is the son of Mary Barnes Pate of Pikeville and the late Charles Bostic of Fayetteville, the stepson of Ronald Pate and the grandson of the late Jessie and Bessie Barnes of Fremont.
He is a 2000 graduate of Goldsboro High School and attended Wayne Community College. He is employed at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by brother, Charles William Howard III.
She wore an ivory satin A-line gown with a sweetheart bodice covered in beaded lace with illusion cap sleeves with a pickup skirt and a chapel train.
Her headpiece was pearl clusters.
The bride carried an arm bouquet of cream and teal roses with calla lilies accented in seashells.
Angelica Atkinson was matron of honor, while LaTonia Thomas and Tanisha Whitfield were maids of honor.
Bridesmaids were Danyell Thomas, Iresha Bates, Kendra Ryals, Faatima Lofton and Rethonia Williams.
Kendell Nobles, Jerome Barnes and Brian Armstrong were best men.
Groomsmen were Brendell Bass, Junior Barnes, Anthony Ryals, Shawn Melvin and Elliott Hill.
Ushers were Antonio Barnes and Anthony Ryals.
LaTasia AnnMarie Barnes, daughter of the couple, was flower girl. Emorrie Barnes was the ringbearer.
Montavious Barnes was broom bearer.
Kaeden Howard was bell ringer.
Lonice Williams directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Michele Ryals.
Tory Hines greeted guests. Shmekia Barnes presided at the gift table.
LeKeisha Grant was a special helper.
A program of wedding music was provided by Angelica Atkinson, vocalist, and Cameron Lewis and DuJuan Gardner.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held.
After their wedding trip to Atlantic Beach, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.
Lonice Williams and Angela Ward hosted a rehearsal dinner was held at Rebuilding Broken Places.
